MYNIC is launching its second level domain name (2LD) service starting with the Priority Entry period from 9am, 1st November 2007 till 5pm, 31st December 2007.
ONLY existing third level '.my' domain name registrants (before or by 5.00 p.m. on 26th October 2007) will qualify to register the equivalent second level domain name during the Priority Entry period.

Am I eligible to register a 2LD?
Yes, but you need to meet the minimum requirement first as below:
| Company registration document e.g. Form D / 24 / 49 |
>18 years old |
Own one or more domain with the ext. such as .com.my | .net.my | .org.my | .name.my |
What happens if there is more than one application for the same 2LD?
Multiple applications for the same 2LD could arise when different parties have registered in different categories. For example:-
- Company A could have registered 123abc.com.my and;
- Company B could have registered 123abc.net.my.
In such a situation, the selection will be processed based on earliest original registration for their 3LDs. The example below shows priority for the second level domain 123abc.my given to company B:

What is the process for the launch of 2LD?

Registrants who are entitled to apply during the Priority Entry Period are entities or individuals who have registered their third level '.my' domain names with MYNIC before or by 5:00 pm on 26 October 2007 and are active at the point of application of 2LD |
